“The Joker” isn’t done yet.
Longtime Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Middleweight contender — now trying his hand at Welterweight — Jack Hermansson suffered another brutal first-round knockout loss,
this time to rising contender Myktybek Orolbai on the UFC Qatar main card last weekend (Sat., Nov. 22, 2025) inside ABHA Arena in Doha, Qatar (watch highlights).
Hermansson was transported to a local hospital following the defeat (details here).
After collecting himself, the 37-year-old veteran released a candid statement on Instagram, reflecting on both the setback and his determination to fight on.
“Four hours of sleep. Have a look at your ugly face in the mirror and remember that you got knocked out AGAIN yesterday.
It is easy to feel sorry for yourself, but that will not make things better. So I’m done with that. It is time to man up and be greatful.
Thank you to my family, team, fans, and sponsors ❤️
I still love this.”
Hermansson’s latest setback comes just five months after suffering an even worse knockout at UFC 317, courtesy of Gregory Rodrigues (watch it).The former Middleweight staple is now riding a two-fight skid and has dropped three of his last four appearances.
At 37 and experimenting with a weight-class change this late in his career, questions will naturally swirl about Hermansson’s future. But if his message is any indication, “The Joker” isn’t ready to walk away. The real question now is whether he sticks with the Welterweight experiment or heads back to his longtime home at 185 pounds.
