The fight for Ja’Hyde Brown continues.
Brown is committed to Louisville and has remained home so far, but other programs continue to pursue the 4-star wide receiver in the 2027 class, including in-state rival Kentucky.
Brown, who stands at 5-foot-10 and weighs 186 pounds, is ranked No. 32 nationally, No. 5 among wide receivers and No. 2 in the state of Kentucky, according to Rivals. He plays for Christian Academy of Louisville and has been committed to the Cardinals since late March.
Now, Brown is set
to visit Kentucky on Oct. 10, Oklahoma on Oct. 17, and Texas on Oct. 24, according to Steve Wiltfong.
Before committing to Louisville, Brown was originally committed to Indiana in January 2026 before flipping to the Cardinals.
It is safe to say this recruitment isn’t over and likely won’t be decided until National Signing Day, which will take place from Dec. 2-4.
No matter what happens, Will Stein has put Kentucky in a strong position with the success the Wildcats have had on the field so far this season.
If Kentucky can continue playing at a high level, keep building its relationship with Brown and present an attractive NIL package, anything could happen.
Brown may still remain with Louisville, but Kentucky is firmly in the mix as this recruitment continues to unfold.
