Earlier today, “The Real Deal” Zayda Steel announced her exit from WWE’s Independent Development (ID) program.
“I’ve decided not to renew my WWE ID contract. I’m incredibly grateful for all the knowledge, experience, and opportunities
I’ve gained along the way, but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for me. I’m only 21, and have already done so much, but I’m just getting started! Thank you”
Steel was named as one of the first three prospects in the WWE ID program shortly after it launched last October. Two months ago, she tapped out to Kylie Rae in a match that determined the first ever WWE ID Women’s Champion. Earlier this year, Zayda reminded everyone to take care of their bodies when she collapsed after one of her matches at an indie show due to “lack of sleep & eating.”
Steel made her pro wrestling debut on the independent scene back in 2022.
