The Chargers continued their lineup of top-30 visits last week by inviting former Nevada and Oregon offensive tackle Isaiah World to their facility on Friday. World was the Duck’s starting left tackle in 2025 but unfortunately suffered a torn ACL during the team’s Peach Bowl loss to Indiana.
With the injury coming so late in the season, World will more than likely not be able to participate in a team’s offseason program and very well could miss most of the 2026 regular season. With that in mind, it’s
likely World’s draft stock will take a hit and the expectation is that he’ll come off the board sometime on day three.
The Chargers don’t need a starting tackle, but they certainly need to build their depth at the position to avoid another season like the 2025 campaign where either tackle spot was a carousel of bodies all year long. Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt will be back, but at what level remains to be seen. Don’t be surprised if the Chargers use a day three pick on a tackle just to make sure there’s no deja vu in 2026.
