Aleksandar Pavlović is a special case of a Bayern Munich academy player breaking into and solidifying his place in the senior team. An unfortunate theme with Pavlović is his weird and frequent injuries such as tonsilitis and fractured eye socket (recalling that iconic Thomas Müller clip) that keeps him sidelined for an unbelievable period of time. Now, though, the young midfielder wants to avoid any form of injuries or illnesses as much as possible.
“It wasn’t always setbacks. It was the eye injury;
the tonsil story is ancient history. It annoys me that it keeps coming up,” the player admitted (via Kicker). “I’ve put it behind me and moved on. I’m only looking ahead and doing everything I can to stay injury-free.”
With him and talented Tom Bischof, both just over 20, already at Bayern, they are considered the successors in the Bayern midfield and ready to usher in the next generation of the Rekordmeister.
The Germany national team is up once again and has two very winnable matches on its slate for the October international break against both Luxembourg and Northern Ireland.
Julian Nagelsmann will not be operating with a full roster thanks to injuries and illnesses, but this should give him a chance to further make his mind up on several players who are on the bubble for the 2026 World Cup.
