The Wisconsin Badgers had another huge weekend of official visits, and perhaps the biggest target in attendance was three-star wide receiver Steele Harris.
Well, on Sunday morning, Harris made it official and committed to the Badgers after his visit, giving Wisconsin their second wideout in the 2027 class after four-star Jai Jones committed last weekend.
It’s another big gain for wide receivers coach Ari Confesor, who has put together a strong receiver core so far in the cycle with two targets facing
interest from West Coast schools.
Harris, who stands 6’3, 190 pounds, is the ideal wideout that Wisconsin is looking for on the boundary, and is rated the No. 1 player in the State of Montana.
Wisconsin offered Harris back in December, with top competition Cal joining the race in January.
Now, he’s the No. 2 receiver and 18th overall commit to join the Badgers in their 2027 class, and they may not be done yet at the position. Four-star wideout Chuck Alexander, a current Louisville commit, had his official visit this weekend. And three-star wideout Tavares Powell came on a visit last weekend. We’ll see if either rounds out the class for Wisconsin.
