The San Francisco 49ers conclude their preseason today against the Las Vegas Chargers. We might be getting our first look at the newly acquired Skyy Moore:
Kyle Shanahan was unsure about whether Brock Purdy would play. Mac Jones is hurt. That means Moore would need to build rapport with Carter Bradley and Tanner Mordecai if Purdy sits. Welcome to the roster!
We will not see Ricky Pearsall, Christian McCaffrey,
or George Kittle. That was an indication that Purdy would receive the night off.
It’s probably best for the Niners to sit the few healthy defensive starters they have. There’s nothing for them to prove at this point, as the risk far outweighs the reward. However, we can expect to see Renardo Green, Ji’Ayir Brown, and Marques Sigle. It’ll be the first preseason action for Green, while Sigle and Brown are likely competing for the same spot.
As always, the goal for this game is to leave without a single injury.
