Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo says he loves playing against Vinicius Jr as he prepares to face Real Madrid again in El Clasico.
Araujo has often been Barcelona’s ‘anti-Vinicius’ plan and he is being
tipped to return to the starting XI on Sunday.
Here’s what he’s had to say about El Clasico and Vini Jr.
“He always makes you get the best out of yourself, what I see is what he does on the field, he is spectacular,” he said.
“Great players do that. I personally love players like Vinicius and I love to face them.”
Araujo has also leapt to the defence of Lamine Yamal amid talk Barcelona are worried about some aspects of his behaviour.
“He is very professional. We talk a lot off the field, but the most important thing is what he does on the pitch, when he trains, and he is top-notch,” he added.
“In the end, he has pressure because he’s the best in the world, but he’s a spectacular guy, with a great family, and that’s the most important thing,” he told Movistar
Barcelona will look to Yamal for inspiration at the Santiago Bernabeu, while Araujo may well have a key role to play – particularly as Jules Kounde appears to be a doubt.
