The Braves have already taken two games in Philadelphia and currently hold a five game lead with 19 games left to play. They have the season tiebreaker over the Phillies now, always important in this age of no more tiebreaker games to determine winners of something. Even with one more game here in Philadelphia between the two and more games this coming weekend in Atlanta, it’s fair to ask the question:
Is the race for the National League East over?
Things can happen, of course, so maybe we should wait
until next weekend happens to fully figure it out, but after that deflating loss yesterday, now is the time around these parts.
