Iwo Baraniewski is quickly becoming a fan favorite after turning in another wild knockout earlier today (Sat., Mar. 21, 2026) at UFC London LIVE on Paramount+ from inside the O2 Arena in London, England, stopping former heavyweight Austen Lane with a nasty 28-second TKO (punches).
Lane was the much bigger fighter heading into Saturday night, but he was a large betting underdog for more than one reason. Not only was Lane coming into a new weight class and carrying just one Octagon win, but Baraniewski
was coming off one of the greatest UFC debuts ever. Fight fans simply couldn’t wait to see what Baraniewski had up his sleeve next as oddsmakers expected a similar performance against a hittable opponent in Lane.
Baraniewski came out firing and only needed 28 seconds to land a monster left hook followed by heavy ground-and-pound before the referee jumped in for the stoppage. The London crowd went absolutely crazy after seeing Baraniewski turn in another violent stoppage. It was pretty impressive, even against a washed out heavyweight like Lane.
Check out the video highlights below:
Baraniewski, 27, is now 2-0 since joining UFC late last year after a successful stop on Dana White’s Contender Series. His finish on Saturday night wasn’t as entertaining as his Fight of the Year candidate his last time out, but it was more than enough to keep the Polish prospect’s UFC stock on the rise. Baraniewski could get a top 15 opponent his next time out considering the promotion likes to play the hot hand, especially in a needy weight classes like light heavyweight.
