It is safe to call last week a bad one for Purdue. The Boilermakers lost to Michigan State at home for the first time in 12 years. They then went on the road and lost at Ohio State in another frustrating game. The Big Ten is now lost, and the NCAA Tournament looms without hte sense of inevitibility that was once there for the preseason No. 1 ranked team.
Purdue won’t be back atop the poll this year, but a top 10 finish and a three seed in March are still very much on the table. It won’t happen without
two wins this week to stem the tide. Purdue falls to its lowest ranking of the season at 15 this week and has the look oif a team spiralling, as it is 5-6 in the last 11 games. At least the Boilers are now 2-4 on the season against the top 11.
