What is the story about?
I
hope you’re in the mood for some Phillies baseball, as there will be two games played today thanks to the rainout last night. It will be a split doubleheader, with game one beginning at 12:35 and game two beginning at 5:35. If you were one of the lucky ones with tickets for last night’s game, they will still be valid for the second game today.

Phillies news:
- The Phillies have dug themselves a big hole, but it’s nothing new to interim manager Don Mattingly who’s dug out of similar holes back when he was manager of the Dodgers. ($)
- The team should be better than they currently are, but it’s hard to believe that Dave Dombrowski doesn’t have any regrets. ($)
- Massive news for fans of both the Iron Pigs and cryptids, as the team will rebrand for one night in June as the Lehigh Valley Squonk in honor of Pennsylvania’s saddest mythical creature.
MLB news:
- Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet is heading to the injured list with left shoulder inflammation.
- Speaking of Boston, here’s a deeper look inside Craig Breslow’s decision to clean house in the dugout. ($)
- The Tigers have been bit by the injury bug as well, as both Casey Mize and Javier Baez are headed to the IL after they were both injured in a game on Tuesday.
- Randal Grichuk, right-handed platoon outfielder, was designated for assignment by the Yankees to make room for top pitching prospect Elmer Rodriguez to make his major league debut.
