The Denver Broncos coaching staff saw some major changes this offseason despite the team going 14-3 on the year and advancing to the AFC Championship Game. The most notable change was Davis Webb being named offensive coordinator and given play-calling duties by head coach Sean Payton. Webb was previously the Broncos’ pass game coordinator/quarterbacks coach and had multiple head coaching and offensive coordinator interviews and offers from other teams, but he decided to stay with the team.
We also
saw the Broncos move on from a handful of coaches and replace them with some new and old faces. After a stint with the Detroit Lions, John Morton is back as the Broncos pass game coordinator, Ronald Curry goes from being the Bills’ quarterbacks coach to being the Broncos’ wide receiver coach, and on the defensive side, Robert Livingston replaces Jim Leonhard as the Broncos defensive pass game coordinator.
Former Broncos Super Bowl-winning linebacker returns as a defensive quality control coach, while former Saints wide receiver Willie Snead IV joins the coaching ranks as an offensive quality control coach.
