Hearing the name Michael Ballack again must have been a real blast from the past for older Bayern Munich fans. The Bayern player from the 2000s is back to influence Bayern in the modern age, doing so as the agent of the club’s latest star from the academy, Lennart Karl.
But how did led by Ballack and 5-year-old Lucky 13 GmbH agency start working with a player like Karl? In an interview with Kicker, as captured by @iMiaSanMia, Karl explained why he chose Ballack to be his agent.
“He’s won a lot and
was captain of the German national team. I’ve been with him since the U-16s, and it’s been a perfect fit from the very first moment. He gives me tips, and I can learn from him,” said Karl.
So how does the exchange between the former Eintracht Frankfurt youth player and the former Chelsea FC player go?
“I’d say it’s like with my father: if something hasn’t gone so well, he gets in touch; if something has gone well, he doesn’t,” Karl said with a laugh. “We talk to each other quite often.”
