What is the story about?

According to Mike Klis of 9News, the Denver Broncos have waived safety Joaquin Davis. Undrafted out of North Carolina Central, the 6-4, 195 pound rookie flashed range and versatility in camp, but is still raw in the nuances of the position.
While he has the size and speed to play in the NFL, Davis likely needs some time on the practice squad
to develop his route running. If he clears waivers, I would agree with Klis here that he’d be a strong candidate to be added to the Broncos’ practice squad for the 2025 season. He has elite traits you cannot teach, so if they can teach him the stuff he needs to learn then he could be poised for a breakout training camp next Summer.
