Barcelona star Andreas Christensen caught the eye in World Cup qualifying on Monday night with a fine goal for Denmark against Greece.
The visitors were already 1-0 up, thanks to a first half goal from Mikkel Damsgaard, when Christensen doubled their lead just after the hour mark.
Christensen brought the ball forwards, simply kept on going and then curled an excellent finish past the goalkeeper from outside the penalty area.
It’s a great moment for Christensen who is enjoying
his football again after returning to full fitness towards the end of last season.
The 29-year-old missed most of the 2024-25 campaign due to injury but has made two appearances for Barcelona this season and has now played in both of Denmark’s qualifiers.
With Inigo Martinez having departed Barcelona, there’s a good chance that Christensen could play a big role for Hansi Flick’s side this season, provided of course that he can stay fit.
