Two fighters made their amateur mixed martial arts (MMA) debuts on Friday night (Oct. 16, 2026) at Urijah Faber’s A1 Combat 37 from inside Rock and Brews Cal Expo in Sacramento, Calif., but only one walked away with a viral superman punch knockout.
Friday’s fight card in Cali offered a ton of action for those in attendance, but the best moment came during an undercard matchup between lightweights Richard White and Chalmes Brown. Both fighters were making their amateur debuts and looking to start their careers
off on the right foot. Unfortunately for Brown, he ended up being on the wrong end of one of the best knockout punches MMA fans have seen all year.
After a few minutes of back-and-forth action, White decided to take a page out of Georges St-Pierre’s book and unleashed a ferocious superman punch. The strike connected flush with Brown’s chin and sent him crashing to the canvas like a bag of topsoil. Brown was instantly out as the referee rushed in to prevent White from landing any unnecessary shots. It was pretty violent to say the least.
