Hansi Flick explained why he has left Raphinha out of his squad for Barcelona’s last game of the season on Saturday night against Valencia at Mestalla.
The Brazilian is back from injury but has been given the night off as he was not feeling 100 per cent, according to the Barca boss.
“Raphinha was feeling a bit off yesterday, so we’ve decided to have him stay at home. We don’t want to take any risks,” he said before kick-off.
Flick has gone with Ferran Torres, Marcus Rashford and Robert Lewandowski in
attack and is hoping his team can sign off with a win.
“For me, it’s always important when we train, when we play, so we have to stay focused. We have 31 wins, but 32 is a better number,” he added.
Barcelona have obviously already sealed the title but will want to finish on a high before the majority of the players switch their focus to a busy summer of World Cup action.
