Welcome to The Third Saturday in October. Tennessee will head south down to Tuscaloosa tonight for its annual matchup against Alabama. The Volunteers got the better of the Crimson Tide last season in Knoxville, but both sides are completely different this year.
Tennessee has gone from a team that leaned on their defense, to a team that wants to outscore you. Joey Aguilar is leading the charge for the Volunteers, armed with an elite outside threat in Chris Brazzell. Alabama has turned to Ty Simpson,
who Tennessee fans know well. The former five-star recruit from Tennessee has thrown 16 touchdowns against just one interception. Both Alabama and Tennessee are among the league leaders in passing yards entering this one.
Tennessee hasn’t won in Tuscaloosa since 2003. They were able to break the overall streak back in 2022 and backed that up last year with another win. Can they break the streak on the road?
