Barcelona have seen an initial €20 million bid for Karim Adeyemi rejected by Borussia Dortmund, according to Marca.
The Catalan giants have made the surprise move for the Germany star but will have to raise their offer if they are to bring him to Camp Nou.
Marca say that Dortmund want at least the €33m they paid for Adeyemi, while previous reports have claimed the German side are holding out for €40m.
Mundo Deportivo are also reporting the offer has been rejected but say Dortmund are willing to negotiate.
Adeyemi is into the last year of his contract at Dortmund and is said to be unwilling to renew. The situation means that Dortmund must therefore sell him this summer or face losing him on a free transfer next year.
The 24-year-old is also said to be eager to make the move to Barcelona and play under Hansi Flick again, but we’ll have to wait and see how far the Catalans are prepared to go to land Adeyemi.
