WWE capped off an incredible weekend of championship matches in Mexico City with Roman Reigns successfully defending the world heavyweight title against Penta in the main event of Monday Night Raw. They played it straight, no interference, no ref bumps, just two wrestlers fighting hard to be the best and attain the prize that says as much. Reigns got the job done. It was fantastic.
His next challenger emerged before he could even make it out of the ring.
This didn’t air on the Netflix broadcast but
WWE was quick to put it up on social media:
What you don’t see there is how Reigns responded to the attack, which is something he helpfully posted to his own social media accounts:
“This is what I’m talking about. I’m sick and tired of it, all these beggars. You want it? If he wants it, he can get it. Money in the Bank, New Orleans. Down south, I’m gon whoop his bitch ass.”
They’ve got another three weeks to build to the match, with Money in the Bank scheduled for Oct. 10 in New Orleans, Louisiana. That, and the two Money in the Bank ladder matches, are all that is currently set for the show.
Excited for the latest go round between these two?
