Just one week ago, Bayern Munich and PSG battled to a wild 5-4 result in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League. Both teams held the lead then gave up multiple goals. The offensive barrage drew applause compared to the slugfest that was featured in the other semifinal between Arsenal and Atlético Madrid that ended in a 1-1 draw.
There has been no “away goal” rule in the Champions League since 2022. This means that Bayern will need to win by multiple goals in the second leg to advance, or win by one
goal and defeat PSG in a shootout. If the result ends in a draw or loss for Bayern, PSG will advance to the Champions League final and Bayern will be eliminated.

Three things to know about Bayern
- With the 3-3 draw against Heidenheim, Bayern dropped points in consecutive matches for the first time since April 2025 when Bayern sandwiched a 2-2 draw to Dortmund between the draw and loss to Inter Milan in the Champions League quarterfinal
- Bayern has not lost both legs of a Champions League knockout round since 2017 when they lost to Real Madrid in extra time
- PSG have lost more away matches against Bayern than against any other team in the European Champion Clubs’ Cup and the Champions League. Bayern have won five of their seven games, four of them by a margin of two or three goals. Munich have won their last two encounters with PSG at the Allianz Arena. (via FCBayern.com)
Three things to know about PSG
- Leading Scorer: Ousmane Dembélé, 18 goals
- Player to watch: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, winger
- Form: LWWWD, 1st place (Ligue 1)
Prediction
Bayern wins 4-2 and advances on 8-7 aggregate. Buckle up for another wild ride! The cardiac kids will deliver an encore performance to last week’s high-flying first leg. PSG’s high press will be completely negated by Bayern’s dominant possession in the early action. Jamal Musiala will score a brace in the first half and Harry Kane will add a penalty kick on an ironic PSG handball right before halftime. Ousmane Dembélé will score in the first half and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will drag one back early in the second half. In the dying moments of the game, Michael Olise will strike again and send Bayern to the final in Budapest.
