The Dallas Cowboys are going to be without some serious firepower on Sunday in Indianapolis.
About five minutes before inactives were officially reported, ESPN’s Todd Archer reported himself that the Dallas Cowboys were set to be without George Pickens, Joey Porter Jr., and DeMarvion Overshown.
There had been some speculation about Pickens’ status all week, but nothing firm that suggested he might actually miss the game.
Regarding JPJ, his injury status has been up and down since the team traded for him over a month ago. Obviously DeMarvion Overshown has had injury issues across the season as a whole. It is all a bit much to take all at once.
The Pickens thing is particularly interesting as many have suggested that, given Dallas’ 3-5 record, they should consider trading him before this week’s coming deadline. If you have a tinfoil hat on then maybe you think this is a prelude to that.
We will see.
