The Cleveland Browns have officially placed CB Dom Jones on injured reserve and waived WR Kaden Davis after promoting him to the active roster last week.
Jones has participated in 8 games for the Browns
in 2025 after signing with the team as a UDFA following the 2025 NFL Draft. Cleveland actually offered him a substantial amount of guaranteed money at signing because they liked his measurables and football IQ. At 6’2”, 195 lbs., he’s been able to handle a decent-sized workload in a few games against some of the bigger receivers in the AFC North. He’s totalled 5 tackles so far in 2025, and played a total of 49 snaps on defense, and 57 on special teams for Cleveland.
Davis was promoted to the active roster last week after being pretty impressive for the Browns throughout the preseason and in practice as a practice squad player. Though he was waived, there’s a good chance that he makes it through waivers and gets re-signed to the practice squad soon.
