Inter, Juve, Roma offered Goretzka? (Get Football News Italy)
Bayern Munich and Leon Goretzka appear to be heading toward a separation this summer and while the Germany international likely wants to remain with the club, his time in Bavaria feels like it is coming
to an end.
As such, his representation might be doing some proactive work in offering his services to Inter Milan, Juventus, and AS Roma:
Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka has been offered to Serie A giants Juventus and Inter Milan as he is reportedly not considered an important player in manager Vincent Kompany’s plans.
According to an exclusive report from CalcioMercato.it, Goretzka’s agents are actively exploring new destinations for the German midfielder, whose contract with Bayern is set to expire on June 30, allowing him to leave for free at the end of the season. The 30-year-old is not among the “untouchables” under Kompany, and there are currently no renewal talks underway at the club.
Goretzka has been directly proposed to both Juventus and Inter Milan. However, the report suggests that given both clubs’ current wage policies and the fact that Goretzka will turn 31 in February, it is unlikely that his profile will be seriously pursued.
The report also reveals a background detail regarding another Italian club – Roma. Roma had previously expressed interest in signing Goretzka last summer, before the end of the previous season. However, the interest from the Giallorossi did not progress beyond an initial inquiry, as the German international was determined to remain at Bayern Munich at the time.
Goretzka was in the midst of a decent campaign, but in November, the 30-year-old struggled mightily, which might have officially iced his career with Bayern Munich.
It seems as if Goretzka needs to get back to being that offensively aggressive player who could be a factor in the box. Now, he seems to be settling into a steady role in the build-up as a distributor, which is not necessarily the best use of his talents.
Whatever the case, Goretzka will likely have a new home and a fresh start for 2026/27.
Can to make move? (Bild)
Rumors are swirling that Emre Can could be on the way out of Borussia Dortmund, but the veteran might still be too valuable to the squad. As it stands, BVB is not ready to let him walk away per this report:
According to BILD information, Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas are booing for the Dortmund captain. All three Istanbul clubs hope to be able to lure Can to Turkey in the winter.
But: The midfield strategist continues to see his future in black and yellow.
The BVB bosses also rely on the 48-time national player. Managing Director Lars Ricken (49) and Sports Director Sebastian Kehl (45) want to extend the contract with Can. The reason: he is indispensable in the cabin – regardless of his role on the court.
Can takes care of the boys, takes responsibility and gives important impulses in daily training.Coach Niko Kovač (54) rates him very highly – Can is a key figure in the BVB squad.
Eberl had “serious clashes” with other execs over Simons (Sport Witness)
There is always some kind of conflict at Bayern Munich. During the summer, it appears that Max Eberl was taking a Jon Snow in the Battle of the Bastards-like stance in founding with his colleagues. But, why?
Well, it was all about Eberl’s desire to bring in former RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons:
According to SportBILD, there were some ‘serious clashes’ during the summer transfer window. Eberl butted heads with Bayern supremos such as Herbert Hainer, Uli Hoeneß, and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
He was keen to sign Simons from Leipzig, among other players. However, he was seemingly overruled. This led to him reportedly standing up during discussions and essentially saying “If you don’t trust my approach, tell me – or let me continue!”. This ultimately earned him the ‘alpha males’ respect. It didn’t, though, lead to the signing of Simons.
He instead headed to Tottenham, where he now appears to be finding his feet and earning praise. Whether Bayern retain an interest, via Eberl, remains to be seen.
It would be surprising if he wasn’t keeping a close eye on the Dutchman, given his fondness for him led to such a pivotal moment behind the scenes at Bayern this summer.
There is no doubt, after Florian Wirtz decided to move to Liverpool, there was one player who fit exactly what Bayern Munich needs to add in the roster — a versatile attacker, who could play all four positions in the attack.
Simons was that guy and might have been the best fit on paper, just not on the budget sheet. Simons is not exactly lighting it up at Tottenham Hotspur as he has two goals and three assists in 20 games across all competitions (he has an additional goal and one assist in two games for RB Leipzig as well), but it feels like he still could have been an asset in Bavaria.
Barca could make swoop for Guéhi (Ekrem Konur)
FC Barcelona could enter the fray in the sweepstakes for Marc Guéhi. Should Dayot Upamecano leave Bayern Munich, this could be important for the Bavarians:
🚨🆕 #FCBarcelona 🏴
Barcelona are set to make a pre-contract offer for Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi in January.👀 Liverpool, Man United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Inter, Juventus, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich are also chasing the England defender!
Konaté could be cheap in January (ESPN)
In what would be a very weird scenario, if Ibrahima Konaté wants out at Liverpool after this season (recent reports indicates that he would want to stay), the Reds would be looking to at least make a little money for him and would be willing to sell him at a discounted rate in January.
Liverpool will accept offers of around £15m for Ibrahima Konaté in January if they can find a replacement, according to Football Insider. Liverpool remain heavily interested in signing Marc Guéhi from Crystal Palace but face growing competition from Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. The Reds could be forced to look elsewhere, but it’s clear a decision on Konaté needs to be made. The 26-year-old France international’s contract comes to an end next summer, and he has made a number of key mistakes this season.
Kompany not worrying about Guerreiro rumors (Sport TV Portugal via @iMiaSanMia)
Vincent Kompany was asked about Benfica’s reported interest in Raphaël Guerreiro and whether the Portuguese player could leave Bayern in January:
“I don’t pay attention to rumors. I have a great player, a fantastic professional. Someone who always helps the team, he did so [against Sporting] and over the weekend as well. He’s a very important part of the team, and any situation regarding his future is discussed internally and not with anyone else,” said Kompany.
Juve remains confident with Yildiz (Calciomercato via ESPN)
After months of transfer rumors, Juventus is feeling good about its chances of keeping former Bayern Munich academy star Kenan Yildiz:
Juventus remain confident of reaching an agreement with Kenan Yildiz over a new contract, but they face strong competition for his signature from a number of Premier League clubs. Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested.
