As the Chicago Bears prepare for their 14th game of the season against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, the first official team injury reports for week 15 have been released.
The Bears had a walk-thru practice
on Wednesday, so player participation listed on the injury report is an estimation. Altogether, just two Bears were listed as DNP (did not practice) on Wednesday: DB Kyler Gordon (groin) and RB Travis Homer (ankle).
Three Bears were listed as limited, including WR Rome Odunze (foot), DB Tyrique Stevenson (hip), and WR Olamide Zaccheaus (hamstring).
LB Ruben Hyppolite II (shoulder) and DB Jaylon Johnson (groin) were full participants.
Gordon is not a surprising name to appear as DNP. He re-injured his groin in warmups prior to Sunday’s game against Green Bay, and Ben Johnson was asked about Gordon during media availability on Wednesday. Johnson said that Gordon’s injury “didn’t look very good” and it’s unknown whether he will be able to play again this year.
On the positive side, Odunze listed as “limited” is a good sign as the Bears’ top WR tries to make his way back after missing the Packers game. Stevenson has also been out for several weeks, last playing in the November 23rd game against Pittsburgh, so if he’s able to go on Sunday it was also be a positive for the team given the struggles the secondary had last week against Green Bay.
The Cleveland Browns have not yet released their first injury report of the week, but we will update this post when they do.
The Bears take on the Browns this Sunday at Soldier Field in Chicago The game takes place at 12:00 p.m. (Chicago time) and will be broadcast on FOX.
