This past weekend, Kentucky Athletics inducted six athletes into the UK Hall of Fame. Representing the men’s basketball team in this year’s class is former No. 1 overall pick and current New York Knicks standout Karl Anthony-Towns.
With the return to Lexington for KAT, he also got the opportunity to take in a practice and talk with Mark Pope and the current Kentucky team, as they get prepped for the start of official practice in the coming week.
The message he brought? It means a lot to wear that Kentucky
across your chest.
During his time in the NBA, KAT has been a great ambassador for the league but also a great representative of the BBN. Seeing this message to this current roster and helping emphasize what Coach Pope and his staff consistently say to their rosters about the meaning of the jersey will never get old.
Welcome to the UK Hall of Fame, KAT.
Go Cats!
