A familiar face is joining the Seminole Boosters, as former Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis is joining the organization in a key role assisting with the organization’s upcoming Seminoles United platform, which is “designed to connect the Seminole family in new ways, offering access, experiences, and
content that extend far beyond game day.”
“Known for his leadership on and off the field, Jordan brings a genuine connection to alumni and fans and a deep passion for what it means to be a Nole,” the Seminole Boosters told the Tallahassee Democrat in a statement. “That makes him a natural fit as Seminole United comes to life.”
Basketball
Florida State men’s basketball added Italian wing Elisée Assui from the transfer portal on Wednesday, with the 20-year-old flipping his commitment from George Washington to FSU shortly after freshman Thomas Bassong briefly entered the portal before reversing course and announcing his return:
Florida State women’s basketball added Vanderbilt transfer Aga Makurat to its 2026 signing class on Wednesday,:
As a junior in 2025-26, Makurat appeared in 31 games from the bench, helping the Commodores to a Sweet 16 appearance behind a 29-5 record. Internationally, Makurat led Poland in scoring (14.3 ppg) and rebounding (7.4 rpg) at the 2024 FIBA U20 Women’s Eurobasket, with notable performances of 24 points against Latvia and 20 points against Finland. She will be the first player from Poland in FSU program history. Her family has a strong basketball background, with her sisters Anna and Ola having played at UConn and Utah, respectively.
Makurat joins Timaya Lewis-Eutsey, Jasmine Nivar, Savannah Henderson, Joy Egbuna, Chamiah Francis, Asia Lee, Kennedy Loux, Missy Odom and Morgan Stewart in the signing class.

Florida State swimming and diving placed 20 student-athletes on the 2025-26 All-ACC Academic Team, with 10 selections each on the men’s and women’s rosters:
The All-ACC Academic Team recognizes those who excel both academically and athletically, and the Seminoles had 10 selections on each of the men’s and women’s teams. Seniors Tommaso Baravelli and Marcos Egri-Martin led the way for the men, earning their third career selections, while seniors Mabry Bishop, Julia Brzozowski and Julia Mansson each received their second recognition on the women’s side. To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.0 grade point average for the previous two semesters or during one’s academic career, and compete in either the ACC and/or NCAA Championships this season. Beginning this season, student-athletes must be an undergraduate and enrolled at their current institution for at least one academic year.
Florida State beach volleyball (29-2) travels to Tucson, Arizona this week as the No. 1 seed in its first Big 12 Championship, opening pool play Thursday against Boise State at noon before facing South Carolina at 5 p.m.:
After winning seven titles in nine seasons in the CCSA, Florida State is the No. 1 seed in its first season in the Big 12. Thursday comes with pool play matches against 5-seed Boise State (19-13) at 12:00 pm EST and 4-seed South Carolina (21-8) at 5:00 pm EST. The Seminoles went 2-0 against Boise State this season, beating the Broncos 3-2 at the LSU East vs. West Tournament in March and a 5-0 win in Fort Worth, Texas on March 27. The Gamecocks and Seminoles did not play in the regular season, but Friday’s match will extend the series history that includes a match each season since 2014. FSU is 26-0 all-time versus the Gamecocks.
Florida State track and field is sending 11 athletes to compete in distance events at the 130th Penn Relays in Philadelphia, beginning Thursday at Franklin Field:
During the first day of the meet, Florida State will have all 11 athletes compete across numerous events. Nicole Dinan and Suus Altorf lead off in the women’s 1,500 meters at 6:10 p.m., followed by Isaac Hirshman Chandler, Aiden Ryan and Aniol Borras in the men’s 1,500 at 6:30 p.m. Oakley Olson, Leah Taylor and Ella Menke race the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase at 6:50 p.m. Maggie Bartlow and Rylee Blade compete in the women’s 5,000 at 7:45 p.m., with Hudson Betts set for the men’s 5,000 at 8:35 p.m. Bieke Schipperen closes the night in her 10,000-meter debut at 9:35 p.m.
Betts is coming off a strong performance after suiting up as a Seminole for the first time this season at the Dick Roberts Seminole Invite on April 11. The sophomore transfer won the 1,500 with a time of 3:48.55. Schipperen has been a highlight among the women’s distance runners and is coming off a second-place finish at the Tom Jones Memorial Invite in the 1,500 with a new personal-best time of 4:14.12. Altorf moved up on the FSU all-time list in the women’s 800 at the Dick Roberts Invite, placing second with a new career-best time of 2:03.00.
Florida State men’s golf enters the 2026 ACC Championship as the No. 5 seed, with stroke play beginning Thursday at Shark’s Tooth Golf Course at the Watersound Club in Panama City Beach:
FSU will tee off on Thursday for the first round of stroke play at 9:22 a.m. ET from the 10th hole and will be paired with Georgia Tech and Duke.
Florida State is coming off a second-place finish at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial after shooting 26-under, 826. FSU had two players in the top 10, led by Jack Whaley, who finished tied for sixth place at 8-under, 205, followed by Wilmer Edero at 6-under, 207.
