Minutes after trading for former Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr., the Steelers are reportedly signing their newest offensive weapon to a three-year, $59 million deal per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Pittman was previously in the last year of his deal with Indianapolis, with an expected
$24 million cap hit in 2026. It’s yet to be seen how the new deal with affect the Steelers’ cap.
Turning 29 in October, Pittman will now be making $19.67 million per year, which puts him in between Jakobi Meyers and Jerry Jeudy in terms of per-year pay. It’s less than Pittman’s previous deal, which had him averaging $23 million per year.
Pittman joined the Steelers in a reported late-round pick swap with the Colts. The exact details of the trade have yet to be reported.
Pittman recorded 784 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 2025. He has 5,254 career receiving yards and 25 touchdowns.
