Former Bayern Munich boss and current German national team boss Julian Nagelsmann says his team will be ready for this round of World Cup qualifiers.
“We’re the favorites in this World Cup qualifying group. We, and I, have the ambition to go through it with a certain dominance. That means leaving no room for doubt during the games. Unfortunately, that happened to us against Italy and also against Portugal. We want to build a rhythm; there’s not much time left for that in the new year. It’s about showing
dominance. That could even mean a dominant 1-0 win. We don’t want to have a game where we say we won by chance,” said Nagelsmann (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Germany is dealing with some injuries, but has enough talent to take down Northern Ireland and Slovakia. However, the teflon coating the team had in the early days of Nagelsmann’s tenure has worn away. Now, the team is not immune to an “off day” and, rest assured, Slovakia and Northern Ireland would like nothing more than to steal a point or three from the Germans.
