Good morning, baseball fans!
The 2025 World Series continues between the Toronto Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers tonight, with the series moving back to Toronto for Game 6.
The Blue Jays have taken the
series lead, 3-2, which is just phenomenal news. I’m not usually one to root against a Game 7, but in this scenario, I’d like Toronto to just wrap it up tonight if possible and save the world from another Dodgers win.
Unfortunately, that’s not going to be easy against tonight’s Dodgers starter, right-hander Yoshinobu Yamamoto. He finished the regular season with a 2.49 ERA, 2.94 FIP, with 201 strikeouts to 59 walks in 173.2 innings pitched. But he’s really been an absolute menace in the postseason, his last two starts have gone nine innings, allowing only one run in each.
Getting the task of going up against that will be former/forever Giant and right-hander Kevin Gausman, who will get the start for the Blue Jays. Gausman ended the regular season with a 3.59 ERA, 3.42 FIP, with 189 strikeouts to 50 walks in 193 innings pitched. His last start was in Game 2 of this series, in which he allowed three runs on four hits with six strikeouts in six and two thirds innings.
Tonight’s game will start at 5:00 p.m. PT, airing nationally on Fox, with national radio coverage available on ESPN Radio.
