The Los Angeles Dodgers went through quite a few managerial changes over the 20 years from when Tommy Lasorda retired in 1996, up through 2015. Seven managers in all saw some time with the club, until
the Dodgers found their man in Dave Roberts.
Roberts’ hiring was announced November 23, 2015, making him the first Dodgers manager of minority decent. Since that hiring, he has a .621 winning percentage, which is the best of any major league manager in MLB history, minimum of 315 games.
He has been NL Manager of the Year twice, lead his team to the playoffs every season, with nine NL West titles. He has taken his team to the World Series five times, winning three championships. Although many fans have called for his firing over his tenure, it’s safe to say that Dave Roberts has cemented his place in Dodgers’ history, and in the Hall of Fame one day.

MLB.com ran an article about seven free agents that could rejoin their former team. Of course, Cody Bellinger was mentioned.
It’s true that the Dodgers need outfield help, especially a centerfielder. If Belli rejoined the team, he would make the fourth player on the team that has an MVP to him name.
After leaving the Dodgers after the 2022 season, Bellinger has seen time with both the Chicago Cubs and the New York Yankees. Last season in The Big Apple, Cody had a 5.1 WAR, with a .272/.334/.480/.813 slash line with 29 homers. If he could replicate that in L.A., that would be a big upgrade to what the Dodgers had in 2025.
