Barcelona captain Raphinha played all 90 minutes for Brazil against Australia in their first friendly of the international break and doesn’t look set for a rest any time soon.
Carlo Ancelotti is now preparing for a second game against Australia on Tuesday and, although he may make changes to his starting XI, he’s not expected to rest Raphinha.
Reports in Brazil claim that Ancelotti has been testing Raphinha as a No. 9 with the national team in training and could play him as a striker in place of Endrick.
Raphinha has been playing as a 9 for Barcelona to great effect this season, scoring 14 goals in all competitions in a blistering start to the new campaign.
Ancelotti’s side disappointed in their first game against Australia which is likely to lead to changes. The current thinking is that Raphinha, Vinicius and Bruno Guimaraes will be the only starters to remain in the XI for Tuesday’s match.
