According to a report from Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), the construction going on at Säbener Straße is in progress and things are moving along nicely, but some details are still being worked out for the performance center:
Major renovation work is currently taking place at Säbener Straße. The €150m project to build a new performance center is still on hold, even though it had been approved by the supervisory board. One reason for the delay is the enormous amount of earth that would need to be removed
by trucks during the construction of the two underground levels – which is an additional burden for local residents. Therefore, the existing performance center is being renovated, with a small extension towards the training pitch. A meeting room is planned for the first floor as part of the renovations. The athletics and physiotherapy areas will also be expanded.
Modernization of the fan shop is also taking place. In addition, the training pitches are being renovated. Excavators, dump trucks, and a roller have been working tirelessly for days.
All this work is part of the major renovation with which FC Bayern aims to transform its training grounds into a more modern home for the club. Whether and when the ambitious €150 million new performance center will be built is currently still undecided.
The Spielertrainer account on X captured some pics as well:
Bayern Munich’s investment into the campus and training environment is one more example of the club investing into the health and well-being of its players. Bayern Munich wants the best, most comprehensive training environment for its players and is determined to keep its training facilities in a world class state.
