Tyrese Proctor, Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel and Sion James were all in action Friday night and there were some very positive results.
Proctor had 17 points in 19 minutes against the Washington Wizards in Cleveland’s
148-114 laugher, hitting 5-6 and 2/3.
In Dallas’s 118-104 loss to Memphis, Cooper Flagg had 12 points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal aand a block in 27 minutes.
Step-Brotherhood member Cedric Coward had 21 points and nine rebounds for Memphis, incidentally.
The big news was out of Charlotte though, where both Sion James and Kon Knueppel started again in a 126-108 loss to Miami. James had 10 points, two rebounds and an assist in 33 minutes, which doesn’t begin to reflect his defensive contributions.
Knueppel though had 30 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block in 4o minutes. He has to be on track for All-Rookie and may be gaining some support for Rookie of the Year. Yes, it’s early, but not many rookies are performing at a higher level. Charlotte must be thrilled.
