Florida State football (3-4, 0-4) announced its initial injury report on Thursday evening ahead of its matchup against Wake Forest (5-2, 2-2) on Saturday, as part of the ACC’s mandate for schools to release
injury updates 48 and 24 hours ahead of in-conference matchups. After dealing with a plethora of injuries heading into their bye week, including cluster injuries at the skill positions, FSU appears to be turning a corner and nursing back to better health after the week off.
Most notably, quarterback Tommy Castellanos was listed as probable. Earlier this week, head coach Mike Norvell told the local Tallahassee media that Castellanos would most likely not have been able to play last week if FSU had a game. The Seminole signal caller was knocked out of Florida State’s loss to Stanford in the fourth quarter, but had already not been 100%.
Florida State also officially listed wide receiver Jayvan Boggs as out this week after Norvell said on Monday he expected the true freshman to miss out on Saturday.
