The Chicago Bears are red-hot, and so are our props! The Bears beat the Steelers 31 to 28 to improve to 8-3. We went 4-0 last week (including our Luther Burden bonus play!), which moves our season record to 22-11 on the season. For what it’s worth, last season we went 32-16 with our props, which gives us a 54-27 record since the start of the 2o24 season. Perhaps people should listen.
Now that I’ve sprained my wrist patting myself on the back, let’s take a look at the Bears-Eagles game on Friday and
give you the three props for this week.
Caleb Williams OVER 20.5 Rushing Yards -114
The Bears’ offense is squaring off against Vic Fangio. That’s not good news for Caleb Williams. I think all of us Bears fans have the utmost respect for Vic and know he’s going to have a tough game plan for Caleb and Ben Johnson to crack.
The one thing I expect is that when Caleb’s life gets difficult due to a defense, he doesn’t get shy about running. I think there will be ample opportunities for Caleb to run when Vic’s defense makes life difficult for him. He’s gone this number in every game over his last 5 games. I think Caleb clears 20 pretty easily on Friday.
Colston Loveland OVER 31.5 Receiving Yards -114
When defenses give you fits, usually the tight ends start getting more involved. It feels like a good opportunity this week to target Loveland frequently. Ben Johnson has been speaking very highly of Loveland the last couple of weeks, and he’s really coming into his own as part of the offense. Loveland has been over 38 yards in each of his last 5 games, and he’s averaging 60 receiving yards per game. This number feels really low and is a number worth hammering.
D’Andrew Swift OVER 12.5 Receiving yards -114
I’m playing the over here again based on facing off against Vic Fangio. Swift has gone over this number in 7 of the last 8 games. I don’t expect him to blow past this number, but I do think he should receive a handful of targets and should catch a couple of them and land around 20 yards or so.
We are heavily betting on the safety valve options (Caleb running, TE and RB overs), but when you square off against a great defense and a great defensive coordinator, that’s usually what you see an offense have to rely on. I do think the Bears will hit some explosives because that’s what this offense does, but it’s tough to determine exactly which players will be the ones to hit those big plays.
