Today, the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-1) will take on the Cincinnati Bengals (2-1) in Week 4.
The Bengals have been the Jaguars’ boogeyman in recent years. In fact, they’re the only AFC team that Trevor Lawrence has never beaten in his career.
Even if Jake Browning can’t hurt us anymore, the Jags are up for a fight against Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, and now, Dexter Lawrence.
“I know Dexter really well, played with him in college,” Lawrence said this week. “Just look at the guy. He’s huge.
He’s ginormous and strong and athletic. That’s the thing, he can move really well for how big he is.”
“It’s someone that you got to have in mind when you’re making a game plan. He’s a great player. And it’s not just him too, is another thing. They got a lot of help on that D-line in the offseason and even some of the guys that have been there playing really well. Myles Murphy’s a guy I played with at Clemson and he’s playing great. They’re doing a good job in the back end as well. So it’s all tying together and, like any team, it starts up front, both sides of the ball. And you can see that with their defense right now.”
