Good morning, baseball fans!
The hot stove is starting to show signs of life, which means the headlines about who the San Francisco Giants are absolutely, definitely going to target in the offseason are starting to roll
in. Love to see the rumor mill at work.
Instead of focusing on the rumors, though, I wanted to check in with Giants fans to see who they think the organization should be going after/what areas you think they really need to focus on improving.
I have never been particularly good at guessing who the Giants will actively pursue. I’ve honestly tried to stop guessing, or getting my hopes up about anything. So I’m going for humorous picks first. Personally, I think it would be hilarious if the Giants went after Thairo Estrada and Mike Yastrzemski. Since we’re getting the band back together behind the scenes, might as well bring back a couple of beloved forever Giants.
On a less silly note, I would be happy to see them take a run at Kyle Schwarber, Kyle Tucker, or any of the top tier starting pitchers on the market. I think picking up another strong bat in the outfield and solidifying an already solid rotation is an excellent strategy. And the only way to keep up with a division that is successfully spending to win, is to also spend to win.
