Ruud Gullit has become the latest pundit to take aim at Hansi Flick’s tactics at Barcelona after the 3-3 draw with Club Brugge in the Champions League.
The result has once again thrust Flick’s famous high
line into the spotlight, with the Dutch legend claiming the players will now be questioning the coach’s set-up.
“I think after a a while, also the players themselves are concerned that is a kamikaze tactic. This is suicide because against any clever team….I think everybody is studying Barcelona right now,” he told beIN Sports.
“All the goals are identical. So you have to ask yourself why should we continue using such a high line and why should we use the same method.”
Flick vowed not to change his philosophy but must be concerned after seeing his team leak goals this season in all competitions. Barca are on a run of nine straight games without a clean sheet and head to Celta next.
