Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise was never going to give the media an injury update, was he?
Olise was not particularly interested in entertaining questions from the media as he made his way out of the Allianz Arena following Bayern Munich’s 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund.
The French winger was approached by reporters and asked whether he was okay following the injury concern that forced him off during the second half of Der Klassiker. His response? Absolutely nothing. Olise simply ignored the question
and continued on his way without saying a word.
Michael #Olise leaving the arena. When asked if he is okay, he does not respond. #FCBayern

Honestly, was anybody expecting a different reaction? At least the reporters tried, though.
Olise is hardly the most forthcoming player when it comes to speaking with the media, and the prospect of him stopping to provide an impromptu medical update while leaving the stadium was always a long shot. Even under normal circumstances, getting more than a few words out of the winger can be an adventure. Asking him to discuss a potentially serious injury immediately after a frustrating evening against Dortmund was probably never going to work.
Unfortunately, his silence does not tell us anything about the severity of the problem. Max Eberl has indicated that Olise’s injury appears less serious than those suffered by Serge Gnabry and Ismael Saibari, but further examinations are still pending.
For now, we will have to wait for Bayern Munich’s medical team to provide some actual answers. Olise certainly was not going to give us any!
