Paddy Pimblett is feeling pretty confident ahead of his UFC 324 interim title fight against Justin Gaethje.
In fact, “The Baddy” believes he can pick one of 50 different ways to end their Jan. 24 main event,
which tops the promotion’s debut on the Paramount+ streaming network. That’s a far cry from Gaethje’s “perfect” scouting report, one that requires Pimblett to get “lucky” on fight night.
Don’t make any longterm plans just yet
.“I have so many different ways to finish him and all he’s got is an overhand right,“ Pimblett told Applied Nutrition. ”It’s just like fighting Chandler again. That’s the way I’m looking at this, it’s just like fighting Chandler again. He’s got one way to catch me, and I’ve got about 50 different ways to finish him. We all know what’s going to happen. It’s gonna be unbelievable. Once I win this, it’s just the start of the next journey.“
Piece ‘em up and sit ‘em down.
“I know I won’t burst into tears, I know for a fact I won’t,” Pimblett said when asked if the victory would make him emotional. “I’ve still got people to beat. Still got people to prove wrong, ones to prove right. Once I win this, it’s just the start of the next journey. Defending the belt and being the best in the world, defending this belt a few times and then going over, winning the other belt.”
