Live from Delaware, it’s Saturday Night! I, NAS204PSU, am here at BTSC to bring you this Saturday Night Open Thread (aka SNOT).
At 5-4 our margin for error is dwindling. We can’t be the one to bungal on Sunday.
Our secondary needs to Chase their WR all over the field, make them work for every catch. Can we rebound after a pathetic showing vs the Chargers? Almost time to find out if we can make Joe Flacco feel his age.
This 6 pack of questions is here to get the conversation going, so let us know what you’re eating/drinking!
1: Aaron Rodgers had a bad game vs the Chargers: 16 of 31 for 161 yards, 1TD, sacked thrice (one a safety) and threw two interceptions. Throws seems to be off target and generally didn’t play well. Does Rodgers rebound against the Bengals? Predict his stat line.
2: The Steelers pass defense still seems to have miscommunications/ coverage errors. Ladd McConkey had a wide open 15-yard TD last week, and during the first Bengals TNF game Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins were left wide open at times. Do you think the Steelers can at least make Chase and Higgins work for their catches this week or do we see more of the same blown coverage?
3: The line for Joe Flacco passing yards is 255.5. Over or under?
4: The Steelers signed Asante Samuel Jr. this week. What other son of a former NFL player should the Steelers look at acquiring (most will have to wait till next year)?
- Frank Gore Jr.: Son of Frank Gore Sr., a former NFL running back
- Marvin Harrison Jr.: Son of NFL Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison
- Mason Taylor: Son of Jason Taylor
- Brenden Rice: Son of Jerry Rice
5: While traveling this week, my wife met the love of her life in the Reno airport. Went right up to him and put her hands all over him as he slobbered over her. I admit, I joined in. Who was he? A leonberger dog working for Paws for Passengers. They are massive. What’s your favorite breed of dog OR breed of pet?
6: Some guys I work with are having their jobs “restructured”, adding supervisor responsibilities and cutting OT pay to 1x instead of 1.5x. They were told they’d have to apply and “take the interview seriously.” Pretty close to a Dilbert cartoon. What’s the most Dilbert thing you’ve seen at a place of work?
