After a long, but successful, trip to California, the Pittsburgh Penguins return home this evening for a quick pit stop before heading back on the road. Tonight the Penguins play host to the Vancouver
Canucks who will be making their annual visit to the city of Pittsburgh and the team will welcome back Marcus Pettersson who spent parts of seven seasons with the Penguins before being traded to Vancouver last season. The Canucks, like the Penguins, currently hold a 4-2-0 record on the season.
Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 PM EST and will be broadcast on Sportsnet Pittsburgh.

It’s another three-game week for the Penguins as they return home from their California road trip sitting at 4-2-0 on the season. As mentioned above, the game week begins back home tonight with the Canucks before heading south to face the Panthers then back home for a date with the Blue Jackets. [Pensburgh]
It took a crazy comeback from 3-0 down on Saturday, but the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins swept their weekend set against Hartford and Bridgeport to remain undefeated on the young season and lead the entire AHL at the moment with a 4-0-0 record. [Pensburgh]
Next Monday, the Penguins will induct the newest class into its previously dormant franchise Hall of Fame. Leading the way will be franchise icon Eddie Johnston, the man who played a pivotal role in building multiple Stanley Cup champions. [Penguins]

As expected, Penn State forward Gavin McKenna lands as the top rated prospect for the upcoming 2026 NHL Draft in NHL Central Scouting’s first rankings of the season. McKenna is one of 27 skaters to receive and ‘A’ ranking who will be draft eligible. [NHL]
Dylan Larkin posted over a two point per game pace last week and was rewarded by the NHL with First Star of the Week honors. Larkin had goals and nine points in four games played. He was joined on the podium by Jack Eichel and Scott Wedgewood. [NHL]
