Liverpool have left it later than anyone would have hoped for to get all of their transfer business done this summer but, in the end, it appears they will get every incoming they were seeking across the line before the window slams shut on deadline day today.
With an £125M mega deal agreed for Alexander Isak in the early hours of deadline day morning, the only significant remaining question mark was whether they could get a deal done to bring in 25-year-old Crystal Palace captain and England international
centre half Marc Guéhi.
It appears they have now done so following widespread reports that a £35M fee has been agreed and that the player has been giving permission to undergo—perhaps may now already be undergoing—his medical ahead of the official completion of his Liverpool transfer.
With that move all but officially completed, attention now turns to potential outgoings, with a £35M move to Aston Villa in the works for attacking midfielder Harvey Elliott and questions surrounding Joe Gomez and a potential move to AC Milan that may or may not still be possible.
