In pursuit of a third consecutive win, the Los Angeles Rams travel cross-country to take on the Washington Commanders. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. PST from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland. The nation’s capitol eleven currently stands at 2-4-1 and are coming off a 27-10 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Washington’s offense is ranked in the bottom third of NFL teams for the season, but have trended upward slightly over the last three games with the return from injury of quarterback Jayden Daniels.
The Rams have had their struggles defending athletic quarterbacks who can extend drives with their running ability and Daniels is adept at that. While injuries have detoured his and the team’s success since his Rookie of the Year performance in 2024, he is still dangerous and has yet to throw an interception in 2026.
Daniels does good work spreading out the receiving targets, veteran Stefon Diggs and rookie Antonio Williams being the primaries. Both should get a lot of work Sunday, secondary receivers Dyami Brown (calf) and Treylon Burks (foot) have been ruled out of the game with injury. The Commanders run game has struggled, Rachaad White and Jacory McCrosky-Merritt have combined for a paltry 439 yards.
The big news for the Rams is the expected return of edge Myles Garrett off the Injured Reserve List. It will be his first action since Week 1. Tight end Terrance Ferguson was also anticipated to play after missing five weeks, but has been downgraded to out for the game.
