As Giants get ready for training camp, 3 biggest questions facing the team | The Athletic
What will Year 2 of Jaxson Dart look like? Not only does he, like his teammates, have a new coach in John Harbaugh, but he also has a new offensive coordinator in Matt Nagy. What will that relationship look like? And even beyond how he works with Nagy, Dart has a room full of experienced coaches, including senior offensive assistant Greg Roman and passing game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Brian Callahan. Roman, of course, is a long-time NFL play caller, while
Callahan just spent two seasons as the Tennessee Titans’ head coach.
A big part of Dart’s progression will, of course, be how much growth we see in his decision-making when it comes to when and how to run the ball. To be fair to last year’s interim staff, Dart did seem to have a better understanding later in the season about when it’s OK to put his body on the line. Still, we know situational awareness was one of the first topics of conversation the quarterback had with Nagy. Dart knows that he can’t help the team if he’s not on the field. Of course, saying it is one thing. We’ll see how far he’s progressed when the games start.
What can Malachi Fields bring to the Giants?
5 Under-the-Radar MVP Candidates for the 2026 NFL Season | Bleacher Report
New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart. Why It’s a Long Shot. Dart has just 12 career starts under his belt, making a sophomore slump just as much of a likelihood as a breakout campaign for the 23-year-old. There’s also still plenty of uncertainty surrounding an offense in flux under a new coaching staff.
Why It Could Happen. That staff—led by John Harbaugh and Matt Nagy—could pave the way for Dart to take his game to the next level. His line should be better with top pick Francis Mauigoa on board, he’s now got Isaiah Likely as a safety valve, and he’s getting Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo back from injury. If that core can put it all together in a surprise playoff season for the G-Men, and Dart can consistently make some of the superhero plays we saw from him in 2025, anything is possible.
Why Giants love what they’re seeing early on from potential rookie starter Colton Hood | NJ.com
Coming out of spring practices, Hood got rave views from Donald D’Alesio, the Giants’ new secondary coach, and cornerbacks coach Addison Lynch, as John Harbaugh tries to fix this Giants defense.
“He’s strong,” D’Alesio said. “He’s got to learn how to play strong. I think it’s the strength of the wideouts that he’s going against. We have some veteran guys that are more savvy and know the tricks of the trade. So as he gets reps and gets more comfortable, I think that’s going to come with it for him. But he’s starting to pick it up. He’s a fast learner.”
“He’s doing a great job for us,” Lynch said. “He’s intelligent. He looks like he belongs. All the skill set is there. He’s just getting the nuances of playing in the NFL — the different moves, the different splits. But he’s right where we want him.”
Study: Cost of attending New York Giants games down 26% since 2016 | USAToday.com
Based on a new study conducted by Max Barlow, the Giants’ beer/hot dog/ticket price has stayed relatively the same since 2016. In fact, with inflation factored in, it’s actually 26 percent lower than it was 10 years ago. And while the average NFL ticket price has increased by 83 percent since 2016 ($92.98 to $169.88), the Giants’ average ticket price has decreased by six percent over the past decade.
The report shows that the NFL gameday experience has risen 78 percent over the past decade, from $105.55 to $187.85. The Giants’ prices have risen just 31 cents since 2016, from $136.07 to $136.38. The study did not take parking into account. The current parking prices at MetLife Stadium for football and concerts range from $40 to $65. The price to park in 2016 was a standard $30 across the board.
