Other than Husky Stadium, I have doubtlessly attended more FBS football games at Byrd (don’t call me SECU) Stadium in College Park, Maryland. It was the only FBS stadium reachable by public transit when
I was an undergrad in DC and I tried to catch a couple games every year. My only memories of the stadium are the massive concrete bleachers on one side, the view of the much nicer basketball complex, and the incredibly cheap tickets. If memory serves, I once saw Matt Ryan bring a top-5 ranked Boston College team to Byrd Stadium and suffer a shocking upset. This week, it’s the Huskies’ turn to travel to Byrd Stadium. Their trip will be a lot longer than a few stops on the Green Line.
Kickoff at 12:30 PM Seattle time from SECU Stadium in College Park.
TV: After a week in the hallowed ground of Network CBS, the Huskies fall down the broadcast pecking order to the Big Ten Network. The underrated duo of Guy Haberman and Jake Butt will call the game with Brooke Fletcher on the sideline. As a reminder, the Big 10 Network streams on the Fox Sports app.
Radio: The live radio broadcast will air via the Washington Sports Network from Learfield. As usual, Tony Castricone, Cam Cleeland, and Elise Woodward will cover the game, which is available on KJR 93.3 FM, the Huskies GameDay app, or the Varsity app.
Welcome to the game thread and Go Dawgs!
