After a weekend of close calls and unexpected results, we move on to Week 6 for the Mountain West and the rest of college football.

FanDuel Odds & Thoughts
New Mexico vs. San Jose State: -2.5 SJSU, O/U 58.5
- The Lobos are riding the high of defeating UCLA and following that up with a win over rival NMSU. San Jose State is eager to get back into action after narrowly losing at Stanford. The oddsmakers expect a tossup.
Colorado State vs. San Diego State: -6.5 SDSU, O/U 39.5
- Tension is building in Ft. Collins as the losses continue to pile up, they’ll travel to San Diego in a contest between two teams relying on their defenses. Don’t expect a ton of offensive output.
Air Force vs. Navy: +11.5 AFA, O/U 49.5
- Liam Szarka is a revelation for the Air Force offense. Unfortunately for them, the defense is in a class of its own right now, and not in a good way. Academy vs. academy games naturally tend to lead to quick, low-scoring contests, yet the O/U is 49.5 for this game!
Boise State vs. Notre Dame: +20.5 BSU, O/U 64.5
- The Broncos travel to South Bend getting ready to take on a red-hot Notre Dame team that just forced Arkansas to fire their coach. Rare for Boise State to be such a massive underdog, but it’s justified in this case.
UNLV vs. Wyoming: -3.5 UNLV, O/U 52.5
- Possibly the game of the weekend in the Mountain West, with conference championship race implications. Can the cardiac Rebels continue to find a way? Wyoming is experiencing a rash of injuries but are always tough in Laramie.
Nevada vs. Fresno State: -14.5 FSU, O/U 44.5
- The Bulldogs host Nevada fresh off the bye and are a sizable favorite against Jeff Choate’s Wolf Pack, who are struggling to remain confident after a plethora of undesirable results. That said, this rivalry has a history of unexpected outcomes.
