The Dallas Mavericks (24-50) are back at home to start the week, hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves (45-29) on Monday night. The Mavericks are riding high after beating a hapless Portland Trail Blazers team on Friday night and have had two days to rest. The Timberwolves were shelled by the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night, losing by double digits.
Here are the main things you need to know:
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks vs Minnesota Timberwolves
- WHAT: Back at home to start the final 10% of the season
- WHERE: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
- WHEN: 7:30 pm CST
- HOW: KFAA Channel 29, MavsTV streaming, NBA League Pass
There’s a lot going on in the injury report. Keep in mind I’m writing this at 2 pm, so there’s likely to be some
updates. Let’s start with who is questionable: Marvin Bagley, Moussa Cisse, Naji Marshall, John Poulakidas, Tyler Smith, and PJ Washington. Considering Dallas needs bodies, I expect at least half these guys to play, though which players is something I don’t want to predict. Caleb Martin is doubtful with a plantar issue. Daniel Gafford is listed as probable as of this writing. Only Kyrie Irving and Dereck Lively are listed as out right now.

The Wolves will be missing Jaden McDaniels for sure, and Anthony Edwards is questionable. He last played March 15th, so it’s possible he comes back today. The Wolves are 4-2 in his absence.
Minnesota has drubbed the Mavericks all three games this season by double digits. If Edwards plays, this one might be over quickly. If he doesn’t play, then I expect it to be a closer game. Dallas still has a lot of fight in them, just take a look at the Portland game for evidence.
Be sure to chime in with your predictions in the comments!
Consider joining Josh and me on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start LATE. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
